Decoupage-Mini Dressing Table

Hello crafters, Neha here and I wish you all a very Happy New Year. My 2022’s first blog is about a butterfly themed mini dressing table.

For this project I have used a wooden dressing table. I started by applying a thick layer of gesso on the areas where I wanted to decoupage.

Then according to the size of the box, I cut designs from the decoupage paper using scissors.

After that, I applied the decoupage paper over the base using Deco Magic glue. After drying, I applied another layer of Deco Magic glue over the print in order to seal it further and left it to dry.

After that, I painted the drawers separately using Little Birdie chalk paints-Lavender Lush and Wisteria and then I painted the remaining area of the base using Little Birdie chalk paint-Bubble Gum and left it to dry.

After that, on top as well as the bottom surface of the dressing table, I gave a pattern using Little Birdie stencil – Mountain Peaks using chalk paint and then left it to dry.

After that, I painted the frame of the mirror using little birdie metallic paint-Orchid Sparkle. Lastly I applied a layer of Little Birdie Decor Varnish – Matte all over and then I left it to dry for 10-15 minutes.

And Done.

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog and I also hope that you find this tutorial inspiring enough to try this project on your own. If you do so, then do share it on Itsy Bitsy Crafters Café and other social media platforms and do not forget to tag ITSYBITSYCRAFTSTORE.
