DIY Hanging Home Decor

Hello Creatives!!

I am Kasturi your fellow DT member back again with another super interesting project this time with MDF board.

We will do this DIY, using Deco Transfer designs, chalk paints, beautiful handmade flowers from Itsy Bitsy and some other craft material which we will go through in the step by step process.

Let’s see, how can we create this board which is suitable for the hallway or the  entrance of your house.

STEP 1 – Take a MDF board (linked below) and colour it with chalk paint. I used a sponge to do so. Just dab the paint and you will see a beautiful effect.

STEP 2- Write your favourite word/quote with a brush on the board.

STEP 3- Choose a Deco Transfer sheet and cut the pattern you want, close to the design. Then gently remove the transparent sheet. Place the design upside down on the board.

STEP 4 – Now with the help of a wet sponge, dab water on the transfer paper. Do not press too hard and gently remove the paper till it reveals the entire image.

In the similar way add some more elements on the board to decorate it.

STEP 5 –  This is the last step and the most fun one to do! Stick handmade flowers on the board with the help of glue. Be absolutely free, explore and stick as many flowers as you want and enjoy the process.

The final thing is to hang the board. Stick a rope to the rear side of the board and secure it with the heavy-duty adhesive tape or silicone glue.

I hope you enjoyed the blog and try this simple yet beautiful DIY. Please find all the products below and don’t forget to use the code KASTURI5 for additional discount on your final purchase.
