Hi friends, DT member Nandhini Vasandan here!
I am here today to show you how to alter an old brush using Little Birdie Color Splashes and a few other supplies. Hope it inspires you to participate in the ongoing Color splash challenge.
Let us now take a look at how I went about to create this beauty.
I took the old brush which I wanted to alter. I will be using the following moulds from the store.
I applied white gesso all over the old brush and this is going to be my base to work on.
Then I added textures with crackle paste and few chipboards. Once it was dry, I added a few clay embellishments and alphabet cutouts.
Then coloured it with Color splash Blackcurrant and Lemon Zing .
I wanted to make a small bottle as my focal point. I filled it with thermocol balls and coloured with Colour Splash Gold Rush.
Then I dry brushed white gesso to tone down the colours. Finally, added handmade flowers and microbeads, and thermocol balls to finish the project.
