Fairy Bookmark With Color Splash

Hello everyone!

Hope you’re doing great! It’s Virti here with a bookmark inspiration for you today.

As we know the time is hard and a lot of us are suffering from mental stress. Today I have a simple, fun project to cheer you up.

Firstly, we need a piece of rectangular paper.  I am using a white cardstock. I primed it with white gesso.

Next, I went forward with mixed media paste and applied it through a stencil with a palette knife.

Here is a tip: Choose designs that are versatile and place them at different areas on the base and not as a single focal point at the center.

Next, I painted some areas using Little Birdie Color Splash in the shade Hot Pink, while some of the other with chalk paint – Wild Wasabi.

Next, I let the colours dry and then I went ahead with using some beautiful tag sheet prints from the pack Fairyland. If you guys have been reading my blogs, you would know, recently I have been obsessed with fairies.

And then in the end, I added some transparent pearl drops. Also, I added a shade of Distress Oxide in some of the areas.

That’s it, our simple attractive and therapeutic DIY bookmark is ready.

List of products I used :
