A Masculine Musical Card

It’s not easy to create a masculine card – no butterflies, flowers, lace and other pretty little trims that are the essence of our creations. So this post is all about making a manly card and I’ve used the ItsyBitsy Music Embossing folder for the project.First of all the color scheme is black and white – no pretty pinks and lavenders. Then the embossed design is music bars and signs. That’s neutral and not particularly feminine. Finally, get a load of that bow. Those who are familiar with my work Read more…

In continuation of my previous posts on the baby scrapbook I am making for a dear friend, here are the pages I completed last night which were Baby’s First Words and Baby’s first Teeth. I wanted some bling on this page so I used the ItsyBitsy Oval Die with a sheet of glitter paper to create these little panels to add the baby’s toothy photos. I placed some lovely alpha stickers on tooth cut-outs to create the title of this page. Finally I packed the frames with all the adorable baby embellishments Read more…

A Bountiful Basket of Roses in a Card

Valentines Day is tomorrow and I don’t know about you but I’ve been dreaming about getting a lovely basket of lush red roses from my dear husband. Hopefully he will see this post and oblige (ha ha ) but in the interim I thought I would make do with my home-made basket of roses – in a card. I know you’re thinking – is that a card??? It certainly is! It’s a card made out of card stock, glitter strips and ribbon so basically I don’t really need a basket of actual roses, this should certainly make do! Read more…
