Vintage 3D Christmas Photo Frames

Hey Crafty People,

This is Manasa Priya from Upcycled! Today I am going to show you how to make some festive home decor for Christmas. These are some wall frames with a 3D effect that also give a vintage vibe.

For this project, first I prepped the MDF frames .

I used Little Birdie Chalk Paints. Since it’s for Christmas, I selected green, red, and white.

I created a distressed effect by painting and sanding. Sealed it with Little Birdie Matte Decor Varnish to complete the outer frame.

Now, to finish the inner part of the frame, I measured and cut cardstock from Little Birdie Magic of Christmas foil cardstock.

Once the layout was ready, I started embellishing it with Christmas stickers, embellishments, handmade flowers, glitter and ribbons to create a three dimensional look.

I matched the embellishments to the backdrop. Used a wreath sticker to enhance the door, some gift stickers to give it a more lively look, snowflakes to give an embossed look. I also added some texture paste to give a snowy effect and sprinkled some glitter on top.

Added the faux leaf ribbon onto the door to give a 3D creeper like effect.

It looks so vintage and instantly adds festive vibes. Try something similar this Christmas to make your decor unique and cheerful. When you share images of your finished Christmas projects on Instagram and Facebook, tag us at @itsybitsycraftstore and @upcycledbymanasa for a shoutout ❄️
