Thinking of You -Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone,
Parvathi Tripathi here today! Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and hence, I am here with a beautiful romantic mixed media layout using Little Birdie mixed media supplies.

I have a detailed step by step pictorial tutorial for you all.
So let’s get started😊
Step 1:  I started by using beautiful papers from the Little Birdie paper packs ‘L’Amour Des Fleurs’ and ‘Pretty in Pink’. I fussy cut some flower bunches and roses from the papers which I will be using for layering my layout.

Step 2: Next, I roughly cut one of the papers and distressed the edges and stuck it over the other making a half and half pattern. Once done, I applied a coat of clear gesso all over the surface.
Step 3: Using Little Birdie ‘Brick Stencil ‘and ‘Rose Milk’ – stone texture paste I randomly created textures on the papers.
Step 4: Next, I took chipboards and added a coat of white gesso. These chipboards are already primed and need no additional priming. But I wanted it to be whiter than they already were… hence this step.
Step4: To the white chipboards I added some chalk paints creating some beautiful shades matching the papers.
Step 5: I start the composition using die cuts and adding some laces and chipboard. I used heavy gel medium to stick the embellishments in place.
Step 6: To this, I added Little Birdie flowers and the fussy cut elements completing my basic composition. Now, to add more interest, I added some craft pellets randomly around the composition again using heavy gel medium.
Step 7: I added a sentiment chipboard “Thinking of You”  by sprinkling some gold Fairy Dust. To make the composition stand out I used Hot Pink shade from the Color Splash series to create a shadow effect.
Step 8: To give a final finishing, I added some white splatters using white Gesso. And my beautiful Mixed Media Layout is done😊 Here is a close up look of the final completed project.
Hope you guys liked my project and I could inspire you to make something beautiful. If you are inspired by this layout you can make your own version of it and share it with me and Itsy-Bitsy and we will be more than happy to see your beautiful makes.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
