Steampunk Altered Bottles

Hello Friends, Suman Pandit here with you today.
I created a set of ‘Steampunk Altered Bottles’ with lots of mixed media supplies from Itsy Bitsy.
I used Little Birdie Grainy texture paste and Stone texture paste , some random laces, and twine to create the background texture on the glass bottles…

Then, I used a stencil from the store and crackle paste to add some more texture…
I wanted to use the steampunk bulb chipboard set as the focal point on the bottles. I used Little Birdie Color Splash – Lemon Zing, Gold Rush and Mocha to create an Ombre light effect on a heavy card by spraying the paper with water first and then with the Color Splash. Allowed it to dry and then traced the bulbs on the colored paper and fixed behind the chipboard bulbs….

after all the texture was deed, I gave a coat of black Gesso to the bottles and allowed themto dry….

Next, I did some layering with chipboard, gears , micro and macro craft pellets.

Brushed the entire thing with another coat of black gesso.

Added some more texture with Little Birdie Embossing Paste – Aquatini and heat embossed it.

Now was the turn to colour. I used Chalk Paints – Terracotta, Mango Crush, Teal Tango, Chocolate Truffle and Misty Fog using the dry brush technique, keep layering the paints from dark to light in a random fashion…

Finished with adding the focal point with Heavy Gel Medium, some metal embellishments and chain was added from my stash….

The back looks like this.

some detail of the textures……
