Resin Coasters with Handy Moulds

I hope you all are safe and sound. It’s that time again where you are supposed to be inside your homes in order to stay safe.

So here I am with another creative idea for you to indulge in and to inculcate a new hobby to pass your time without sitting idle. Don’t have a mould at home but want to make beautiful coasters?? I’ve got you covered!

Today I will demonstrate how to make resin coasters without a silicone mould

For this, you need something from your kitchen. Get yourself with a lid that is flexible enough to turn and fold.

It should be something like this

Material required

gold flakes

paper cups

ice cream sticks

measuring spoon or cup

clear resin and hardener

few drops of pink and purple paint

flexible lid

STEP 1

This is the most important step!!

Make sure to wear your gloves as the resin is very sticky and difficult to remove from the hands.

STEP 2

Use a measuring spoon or cup to pour the resin into a cup. I used a measuring spoon. The ratio should be 2:1 of the clear resin and hardener respectively. This means 2 spoons of the clear. resin and 1 spoon of the hardener.
