New Little Birdie Clear Stamp Review

Hello Friend,

Neha here from Periwinkle Creations. I am here with few cards today. Itsy Bitsy has released 24 new stamp designs including many layering floral stamps. I am loving their new designs. You can check them out HERE !

Let’s start with the projects. First, I am using the Hogs and Kisses set.
I have stamped all the images from the set with Memento ink on Itsy Bitsy ultra smooth cardstock for stamping. The cardstock is super smooth and works well with all the coloring mediums. I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I uses the same cardstock to make a top folding card base. I stenciled four rectangles with various colours of distress oxides and adhered fussy cut images with foam tape for some dimension. I also stamped the sentiment with black ink.

Here is the second card I made with the same set.
Isn’t it the cutest pig ever??
To create the background, I used Little Birdie ‘Speech Balloons’ thin cut dies. I mounted the stamped, coloured and fussy cut image on one of the cutouts. The sentiment was stamped on 2 speech bubbles. Few enamel dots and the card was finished.
Few closeups.

The stamp set is really well designed. The characters are cute. It stamps well. It has various sentiments which makes it versatile to use for different occasions.
Let’s start with the 2nd stamp set. They have introduced layering stamps in many floral designs. I am using the Poppy Perfect stamp, today!
It is a lovely set and has 2 flowers each with 3 layers, a bud, a stem and few leaves!

For layered stamps, you have to start with the most solid layer and lightest ink colour. You will also need light, medium and dark inks in one color.
Here I have used both pigment and dye inks for two different flowers to show that any stamping ink works. The ultra smooth stamping paper works very well with layering stamps.
The flower on the left side is stamped using Itsy Bitsy pigment inks – French Rose, Primrose Garden, and Berry Wine. These inks work perfectly with stamps and give beautiful depth to the stamped image.
The rest of the stamping is done by dye inks. They works well too. If you have MISTI (or any other stamping tool), it helps to stamp images multiple times to get even and smooth images as there is a bit of beading of ink on the stamps.
The sentiment is from an older set – Loads of Wishes.
One more card with the same stamps but different inks and sentiment.
The new stamps are really amazing. I love the theme based stamps as well as layering florals as there are many options to choose from. Some of my favourites are Perfect Blend, Unicorn Dreams, Ocean Love etc.
I will be with you shortly with one more post using my most favorite set from the release.
Till then, happy crafting. Thank you!
