Mosaic Bottle Art

Hello! Dear Crafter friends…

This is DT member Divya Balasubramanian here with a new inspiration today. I designed this pretty bottle using Little Birdie ‘Glass Mosaic’.
Here I have shown you an interesting way to alter a glass bottle into a Lamp.

For this project, I have used Little Birdie’s glass mosaic round, Mixed media paste- 2 in 1 Gesso & Modelling paste, Silicon glue, antique gold metallic wax and charcoal chalk paint.

So let’s start with the process.
You can use any glass bottle (old or new). Just make sure its light in color.

Now, with the help of silicon glue, start sticking round glass mosaic on the glass bottle creating patterns of your choice.

Here you can see that I have used 4 shades and made this pattern here. In the next step I have used Little Birdie Mixed Media Paste to fill the gaps and highlight the glass mosaic.

Then, with the help of sponge, I have removed any extra paste and cleaned the glass mosaic. Thereafter, I used black chalk paint and covered the white areas so that when I switch on the light, the glass mosaic looks brighter.

Keeping the background white or black is completely your choice . Lastly,  I have used antique gold metallic wax to give it a shimmery, metallic look.

Now it’s time to enjoy the beauty of my creation -the Mosaic Glass Bottle!
