Mixed Media Upcycled Box

Hey  friends!

This is Sonal Shah here. I am so excited to share my mixed media project as an inspiration for you all. Hope this inspires you.

Please read on to see the step by step tutorial with awesome products from Itsy Bitsy.

LITTLE BIRDIE PRODUCTS

STEP 1 :  Applied Little Birdie’s black gesso to cover the box.

STEP 2 : After the gesso dried, took a stone stencil and Little Birdie texture paste and did random stencilling.

STEP 3 : Adhered  some lace, primed chipboard, and embellishments with Litle Birdie soft gel medium.

STEP 5: Using black Gesso covered up everything once again and then did dry brushing with white gesso over it.

STEP 6 : Sprayed Color Splash – Gold Rush over it.

STEP 7: On the sides of the box I have applied Little Birdie embossing texture paste ( Aquatini) with stone stencil. You need to heat set this paste to achieve fluffiness.  After that, painted blue and top white gesso with dry brushing.

STEP 8: On top of the box I have done dry brushing with, gold, red, blue, green, and also used Antique Gold and Bronze metallic wax to highlight certain areas.

STEP 9:  Finally adhered some metallic microbeads (Ruby Red) with soft gel medium to highlight the project.

Trust you all enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
