Mandala Planter Inspired by Mexican Art

Hi Creatives…

A garden is the best place in the house, as it is one of the best places to relax and get some relief from the busy life. Moreover having a garden in the house welcomes many health benefits.

A beautiful garden is made up of healthy plants and a tasteful decor. One such  decor is a decorative garden planter.

Let’s give a beautiful look to a simple old planter and turn it into a planter with a vivid look inspired from Mexican art.

On to the project.

Step 1:

I have taken an old plastic railing planters here, sanded the surface & given them a coat of clear gesso.

Next, I applied two coats of multi-surface paints with sponge.

 Step 2:

Drew some mandala designs on the pot with a charcoal pencil. I have chosen a design inspired by Mexican art. Now using different shades of multi-surface paint filled the designs.

Step 3:

Using permanent markers give an outline to the design. It neatly defines the designs painted.

To make is more beautiful, use the back tip of a pencil & brush to add some dots on the designs.

NOTE:

The consistency of the paint is best for dot painting.

Step 4:

After drying, apply 2 to 3 generous coat of Little Birdie Decor Varnish to seal the paint.

The Mexican art inspired railing planter is read to adorn your garden.
