Home Decor with Deco Transfer

Hello Dear Friends…

DT member Divya  here and I am back with another  beautiful project done with Deco transfer sheets. I am here to show you a home décor name plate project done with Deco Transfer sheets. Little Birdie ‘Deco Transfer ’ sheets have made it easier for making such awesome projects . So let’s see the project.

Here is my project with cute little designer pots. So let’s see what to start with.

STEP-1 : I have taken this MDF base and some terracotta designer pots and sand it slightly to get a rough base.

STEP-2: I have painted all the bases with white chalk paint and some of the portions with Muted Teal chalk paint. I have given 3 coats of white chalk paint.

STEP – 3 : Then I have taken Little Birdie wood glue and attached the two MDF pieces. You can also fix the terracotta pots to the MDF base.

STEP -4 :  I have fussy cut the elements from this beautiful Deco Transfer sheet and used them on the small pots by dabbing water on top of it. The entire method of transfer is mentioned on the instruction part of package.

STEP-  5: I have done some stenciling work on the MDF base with the help of a stencil brush and Muted Teal chalk paint. Then I have distressed the edges of the base with the same color.

STEP – 6 : On the base I have used some Decor Transfer designs too and transferred them here and there. Then around the Deco Transfer design  again I have done some stenciling to merge them with the background. Then to enhance the beauty, I have used silver flakes and gilding glue on the base here and there and on the pot as well as.

STEP-7: This is how the pot looks after silver foiling. Next, I have made a frame with black cardstock and have done dry brushing on it with white chalk paint.  To match it with the MDF I have done some silver foiling on the frame also.

STEP-8: Next, I attached the frame to the base. You can place the alphabets of your choice inside to make a name plate or you can make a welcome board or you can insert some photographs etc. the choice is yours!

Lastly I have used some handmade flowers to add some interest to the project and have also placed the alphabets and have made a name plate.

Hope you guys like my project. Thank you for stopping by.
