Decoupaged Makeup Organizer

Hello everyone,

Bela here! I am very excited about today’s post as I have used super cool new releases for my project! Also because its super easy with simple techniques and very much doable. So I hope to inspire everyone out there and create something cool with yummy goodies from the store.

Here is the step by step process:

I took a wooden base with four partitions. You can use it as a pen stand, cutlery stand, makeup organizer or as you wish!

I made it to keep my make up.

The first step is to cover the inside with chalk paints. I have used Aqua Medley paper pack for my project instead of any decoupage paper or tissue.

Also apply the chalk paints on the corner edges as shown in the picture.

I chose two different papers (2 each) with little contrast. I wanted to use both the sides with different materials and technique.

I chose one with flowers and the other with dots, cut them little smaller in size from the sides and kept the top and bottom same as the size of the organizer.

Adhered papers on all the 4 sides with Little Birdie Deco Magic glue.

Added texture with Grainy Texture Paste on the paper that had the polka dot design. For the other sides chose a design with beautiful tiny little flowers from Aqua Medley and adhered them at the corner with a beautiful MDF flourish cutout.

Once this was done, I added a little diluted Mocha Color Splash and topped it with  Metallic Wax in Copper to the edges to give it a distressed look. I applied the waxes with my fingers so that I could be in control as to where I want to add it. You can use a stencil brush too. I absolutely loved the way it gave a beautiful copper metallic sheen to the distressed look .

I love the way this simple project with super simple techniques can look. Its so amazing!! I hope you all like it the way I do……

Love & Hugs

Bela
