Decoupage Wall Art

Hi all,

This is Nithiya from the Design Team. Today I will show you how I modified the wall around the switch board with Little BirdieĀ  decoupage filament paper ‘Paris Memories’.

These filament papers are of 60gsm and are easy to use. The single layer paper is bubble and wrinkle free and can be adhered on all surfaces even by beginners. It comes in a set of two complementing designs.

Step 1: I chose the area around two switch boards in my living room.

Step 2: Since the walls were pre-primed, I used decoupage filament papers ‘Paris Memories’ and directly did some random decoupage around the switch board with Deco Magic glue matte as shown in the picture.

Step 3: I used chalk paints Marsh Green and Snow and did some merge painting to hide the fuzzy cuts.

Step 4: I let it dry and mixed few drops of Marsh Green chalk paint with 2 in 1 mixed media paste and stenciled them with ‘Mountain Peak’ stencil as shown in the image. I finished them with matte varnish.

Below are few pictures of the finished project.

Since the area around the switch board gets messy easily when compared to the other areas one can use the decoupage technique and make it look prettier.

See you all with another project!

Nithiya
