Creating patterns using Texture Triangle

Hello everyone.

This is Yeshaswini here and I’m glad to be on Itsy Bitsy’s blog today to share a little project (well, it is actually 2 little projects) that I made using Little Birdie’s ‘Texture Triangle Tool’.

Texture triangle is a really cool tool, using which you can easily add various texture effects to projects. Just add some texture/modelling paste onto the surface and play along with the texture tool to create horizontal, vertical, chequered, zigzag or other patterns of your choice.

Using the tool, I created two amazing textures which I had planned on using as backgrounds for a card.

The surface I’m working with, is a canvas sheet.

As you can see, I was able to create two stunning textures using the tool. And the best part is, it took less than a minute to create each texture.

I have used, yet another popular product from Little Birdie, Gold Alcohol splash in different colors – Golden Soot, Frosted Pool and Gold Nugget to color the backgrounds.

Once the backgrounds were ready, I added some embellishments to finish off the cards.

Here’s how the first card turned out. I have used some white Gesso to highlight the textures.

I have used a lot of embellishments from Itsy Bitsy in this project. I have listed them all at the end of this post.

And here’s the final look of the 2nd card. I added splashes of yellow to make the card more interesting.

I hope you found this project inspirational and are motivated to try out the  easy to handle and great to use Texture Triangle tool to create amazing backgrounds.

As promised, here’s the supply list along with the link to Itsy Bitsy online store where you can buy them.
