Colourful Floral Tray

Hi friends Nithiya here from the Design Team. Today I will show you how I made a colourful floral themed tray with products from Itsy Bitsy.

#1 –  I took a rectangular tray and painted its inner base and outer wall with Pineapple Lolly chalk paint. I painted the inner wall of the tray with white gesso.
#2 – I let them dry and applied one coat gesso onthe whole tray. I used chalk paints Pineapple Lolly, Indigo Rush and Butternut Squash and painted as shown.
#3 – I mixed the chalk paints Pineapple Lolly and Indigo Rush and painted the outer wall of the tray.
#4 – I mixed Pineapple Lolly chalk paint with modelling paste and stenciled the outer wall with stencil Palm Flourish as shown.
#5 – I decoupaged the inner surface of the tray as shown.
#6 – I took a handmade flower and a butterfly and painted them with black gesso. I let them dry and rubbed metallic wax “Rich Gold” on them to get a metallic finish. Later, I brushed them with resin to make them durable. That’s how I changed a handmade paper flower and a butterfly into faux metallic charm.
#7 – I pasted these on the outer wall as shown.
#8 – I used Little Birdie resin and finished the tray.
