Altered Planner Cover using Tinted Metallic Paints

Hello friends

This is Suman here and it is a pleasure to be back with an inspiration using Little Birdie’s newly launched Tinted Metallic paints. These Tinted Metallic paints can be used on multiple surfaces. These are water based and permanent.

The non-toxic paints are great for adding shimmer to all your projects. They provide perfect coverage with an almost opaque finish. Perfect for jazzing up home decor, mixed media, craft and DIY projects. It is also possible to layer them and tint them also with flat acrylics to create more shades.

So I decided to alter my planner cover with these metallic paints and this is what I started with………..

I added some torn pattern paper strips with gel medium on the cover.

Then using Impasto texture Paste and Texture Triangles by Little Birdie I created texture on the cover…. .

These are the selected shades for this project……

And now playing with colors ……

When I was happy with layering of colors, I selected few embellishments…….

I added a touch of purple acrylic to the Shimmery Sorbet, to paint the frame salvaged from a wedding invitation….

Also used some flowers from the store, a painted MDF butterfly and some pretty bling …..

I created drips of paint with a palette knife and ………see how it looked after completion!
