A Mixed Media Canvas

Hi friends,

Saadia here today!

Sharing with you a mixed media canvas. I hope you like it .

Let’s start :

I glued pages from an old book to my 8×10 inch canvas. Then I mixed Texture Sand with 2 in 1 Mixed Media Paste and applied it to the canvas through a stencil. Covered the canvas with diluted white gesso.

Next, I cut a crescent shape from chipboard and glued surgical gauze with gel medium. Stenciled a design with a mixture of 2 in 1 Mixed Media Paste and Texture Sand.

Applied black gesso to my embellishments and glued them onto the moon.

Next, I colored the project with chalk paints.

Colored the canvas with Little Birdie Color Splash and Alcohol Splash sprays.

Glued the crescent and other embellishments on the canvas with heavy gel medium.

Glued a primed chipboard word with gel medium.

Lastly, I added a little bit of glitter, white and blue paint splatters.

That’s it for today. I hope you liked it.

Thank you for visiting. Don’t forget to take part in this month’s creative challenge.

Take care and keep crafting.

Saadia Nawaz
