Stamping, Gilding and More

Hello everyone!

A new year, a new beginning and miles to go. Wishing you all a successful and creative New Year! Happy 2020!

This is Anila Dk here today on the blog. It feels really good to write this post. I am super happy this time as Itsy Bitsy recently launched some wonderful designs of Stamps and Dies, something I was waiting for, for a very long time.

I am sharing some lovely and interesting inspirations using some of these stamps.

FLORAL CARD

To begin with, I am sharing this card with a beautiful floral arrangement.

I have used the Shine Bright stamp set.

I stamped the floral images on watercolor cardstock. Watercolored all the images and fussy cut them.

Added drops of white acrylic paints to the center of the flowers.

Die-cut a circle in white cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in gold. Foam mounted the circle and assembled the floral around it. Added some splatters of the colors used.

GILDING WITH STAMPS

I have used two stamp sets here – Shine Bright and Butterfly Kisses.

Stamped the image on the card using Versamark ink and heat embossed using sticky embossing powder.

Added the gilding flakes after heat setting and using a stencil brush burnished it properly. Removed the excess.

Assembled the cards using sentiments and colored cardstocks.

ENVELOPE SEALS

I have always been fascinated with the envelope seals.  It gives a unique and beautiful look to your cards or gifts. These seals can be used to seal your envelopes or even to add on to your wrapped gifts. Let’s see how I made these.

I have used the handmade with love stamp set here.

Take a thin sheet of white cardstock. Handmade papers work best for this. Stick two-sided tissue tape all over the cardstock on one side.

Using black and colored inks stamps, inked the images as shown below. I have used the newly launched pigment inks for stamping.

Watercolored the images using the Little Birdie Watercolor half pan set.

Fussy cut or die-cut the images.

Used them on the envelopes. You can use them on wrapped gifts too.

The final touch of the seal will add grace to your beautiful gifts.

That’s all from my end today. Hope you enjoyed reading through the process.

I would love to see if you make anything inspired by the projects shown here.

Happy Crafting

Anila
