Valentine’s Day Wall Decor

Hi dear friends..! This is DT member Divya here with a new inspiration for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. I have made a mixed media wall mount here with the help of pattern papers and handmade flowers. This decorative wall mount also has series light inside it. So lets get started…!

This is the beautiful pattern paper which I have used here. I have used a single paper to make this project.

In side this pattern paper pack there are four sheets which have this frame like design, from which I have chosen this purple shade. Here I have  cut the inner frame with the help of a pen knife and separated it from the background. Then with the help of a compass I have made an inner circle and cut that too with a pen knife.

Now, for the base I have taken a waste carton sheet and have drawn a heart shape on it. Again with the help of a pen knife I have cut it out.

In the next step I have taken the remaining  background paper and tore it randomly  in uneven sizes. With the help of Little Birdie craft glue I have adhered it by overlapping them on each other. Then with the help of watercolors I have given a  dark shade on the edges of each piece to give it a distressed look.

Here with the help of Little Birdie Dream Cut – die cutting machine I have cut a loving couple and have made these flowers. Before fixing the couple I have taken a vellum sheet and cut it in a circle. Size of the circle is the same as the frame of the circle. Then I have used double sided foam tape on the edges of the vellum paper and adhered a series lighted inside it.

I have also die cut an Eiffel Tower shape on a purple glitter sheet to add extra effect to it. Then I have taken some coconut fiber and adhered them on the outside edges of vellum paper.  And now when you arrange them all together it looks like this.

With the help Little Birdie Dream Cut – die cutting machine and embossing tools I have cut and shaped the flowers. Adhered them the on the frame with the help of a glue gun.

And this is how it looks when you switch the lights on!

And when the lights are off.

lamoulamour I hope you will enjoy making this. Thank you for having a look…!
