Valentine Surprise Boxes!

Heyyy everyone!
Welcome back to another blog post by your craft buddy Virti Mehta!

As we know that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I thought we can make cute surprise boxes for our partners!
Come on lets start making them!

We will start with a 8 by 18 cm rectangular sheet. Well, here I used the Little Birdie ‘True Love’  paper. As the pack’s name suggests this paper pack is filled with  beautiful romantic elements and designs. It is just the perfect pack for Valentine’s Day creations. Next, score it at 6 cm and again after 2 cm and repeat the same.

Next up, we need to make it look like a matchbox cover. So, fold all the scored lines and secure the ends with glue. Yuppie! your base is ready. Now we need to embellish it.

We will create a beautiful and easy way of creating Shaker which gives a very translucent view.
Here, we need some vellum sheets. Make sure you use thick vellum sheets from Itsy Bitsy that are of very high quality. So, for those who doesn’t know what vellum sheet are- vellum sheets are thick translucent sheets like butter paper that makes your projects very attractive and unique with a semi-transparent look.

Next create a cover using the vellum sheets of sizes 8 cm by 6 cm and add 1 cm on each size for securing the ends on the box and of course some beautiful and colorful sequins. Here, I have used ‘True Love’ themed sequins pack. Next, paste the vellum with the 1 cm ends on the sides of the box.

Just look at the lovely sequins shaker, I have embellished it with some self adhesive glitter hearts and the lovely tag sheet from the ‘True Love’ paper pack.

Now, take a sheet in the above mentioned size and cut along the dotted lines so, that you can make a in fold and make a box. Put this box in the big box .

I have added cupcake topper and a small tag sheet inside the box. Voila!  your first box is ready.

Likewise, we will make few more. After preparing the box we will make add a wax seal in the second and for the third box will add the bicycle embellishment like shown in the images below.

I have used distress oxide in the shade  – Worn Pink to colour the bicycle embellishment and also the ‘Thank You’ wax seal.

And for the last one, I have created the same shaker like the first one with acetate sheet.

Adding more images of the projects.

Thank you for reading…Hope you make something similar too this Valentine’s Day.

Attaching photos of all the products, I have used.
