Special Birthday Card

Hello arty-crafty friends!

My Birthday is in May and my daughter’s is in June and she is turning 18 this year! So, I decided to make a special Birthday present for her. Here is the easel photo frame I made along with a three tier cake shape gift box.

Step by step instructions:

#1- for the easel base, I took a 11.50″x 11.50″ cardstock. Scored at 5.75″ and turned 90° and cut at 5.75″ .After that you will get 5.75″x 5.75″ square on both sides. Now on one side I did the easel photo frame and on the other side square I removed by cutting it and did layering with pattern papers. ( in my project I wanted the photo frame on the left side and the cake box on the right side. ( I did it to get what I had in mind. You can change the position as you like.) I have used papers from Little Birdie Boho Dreams collection and True Love’ for this project.

#2- For the photo frame, I took 5 .75″x 5.75″ thick cardstock and leaving 1″ on all four sides cut the middle square for the photo frame. I did the same with the pattern paper for layering. To give dimension and to raise it a little so that the photo can slide easily from top. I have used foam tapes on all the 3 sides leaving the top part to insert the photo.

#3- Finally Decorated it with Boho Dreams fussy cut elements, chipboard sentiment, pearls, sentiment from the same pack.

#4- For the easel stopper I have used a big decorative pearl string and stamped a sentiment banner die cut.

#5- Now on the other side I have made a 3 tier cake shape gift boxes. The measurements are (from top to bottom) 2″x 2″, 3″x 3″, 4″x 4″ . Decorated them with lace, pearl stickers and Little Birdie handmade flowers.( Distressed a little with Picked Raspberry distress ink)

#6- To make the base more stronger I have made a sturdy base frame which will support the whole project and to give nice and complete look to it.
