Life is Beautiful – Altered Embroidery Hoop Wall Decor

Hello arty-crafty People…!!!

I’m Priya Mishra. Today I am very excited to share my first DT project here on the Itsy Bitsy blog with you all. This month’s theme for the blog challenge is “HOME DECOR” and I made a wall decor .

When I started to think working on this project, I thought of making a cute, shabby project and the thing that instantly came into my mind was the “Fairy Sparkle ” Paper pack. This paper pack is so close to my heart, and there is so much scope to make so many projects with this one pack. I love each and every element of it and I hope you like it too. So, here’s what I created…

Now let’s move on to the procedure:
I took these three embroidery hoop of 3 sizes 12″, 8″ and 3″.  You will get them in the store. Then I took the Fairy Sparkle Paper pack and selected the papers that I wanted as my base. Also I took Some thin chipboards and cut them to the size of my Hoops.

I applied clear gesso over my hoops. Then I cut the papers into the sizes slightly smaller to the outer ring of the hoops. I stuck them with the chipboards and covered them with clear gesso as well.

Then using a stencil and Grainy Texture Paste, I created some texture on the paper. For my second hoop which is 8″ in size I cut another small circular paper and created some texture on that and stuck on it.

After adding some Color Splash on the papers, I glued them to the hoops and arranged them and glued them as I wanted.

For embellishments here, I mostly used fussy cutting elements from Little Birdie’s Fairy Sparkle paper pack. Also I used natural elements from the store, flowers and chipboards.
Here are some close up pics of the project.

Hope you like my project. Do let me know your thoughts.

Waiting to see your exciting creations.

Keep crafting!

Priya
