Creativity takes courage canvas and Home decor Featuring Little Birdie Metallic Wax

Hello Friends

DT Charu here !

This time we have a Blog Challenge where you can make beautiful projects with Little Birdie’s wonderful Metallic Wax.

Metallic Wax is an awesome product available in different colours. It is ideal for adding a rich metallic finish to any plain or textured surface!

It is wonderful for filling cracks.  You can use it on texture created with Fiber Paste or Crackle Medium or any other textured surface.

It is a wonderful product which works on all surfaces like paper, metal, wood, canvases!

It is water resistant too!

A wonderful product to be used in mixed media, home decor, scrapbooking, home decor and other projects

Today I have two home decor projects for you.

For the very first project I am making an easy mixed media canvas.

I have taken a canvas from my stash and applied Mixed Media Paste with my favorite stencil on it and let it dried.

In the next step for the first layer I  applied some natural fibres strips and for the focal point I am using some of my old brush and discarded pencils by my son, mixed media stones, micro beads, some shells, buttons and flowers and adhered them with heavy gel medium. I also applied glass bead gel here and there on the  canvas to give some texture to my canvas.

Next, I applied black chalk paint to the canvas. When it was dry I sprayed it with Alcohol Splashes .

For the next step, which I enjoyed a lot…. I used Gold Metallic Wax and applied it all over the canvas which gave it a wonderful metallic embossed look! It is so much fun to apply this metallic wax and it has got some wonderful fragrance too! Look at my canvas it looks so dramatic isn’t it?

I got so addicted that I made one more mini canvas with it;)

For my next project I have used a galvanized watering can form Itsy Bitsy

I planned to do a decoupage with print out of my watercolor painting.

I decoupaged with Deco Magic decoupage glue and applied some chalk paint to merge it with the background.

I did some stenciling and painted the top part, handle, and the spout with Sailing Sky chalk paint.

Using Mixed Media Paste, I did some stenciling with a doily stencil and applied Fibre Paste on the handle and spout to add some texture.

Once everything dried, I added gold Metallic Wax to the stenciled partand also on the spout   handle and rim to give it some distressed look!

Here is the finished project!

Awaiting your wonderful creations with Metallic Wax. Create and play along with us.

Cheers Charu!
