Craft Cement Paper Weight

Hello friends,

It’s Yeshaswini here and I’m very excited to be on Itsy Bitsy blog today to share my recent project with Little Birdie Craft Cement.

Craft cement is very easy to use. You just have to add water to it depending on the desired consistency and you are good to go! It is great for making planters, leaf bowls, candle holders,  DIY cement crafts, adding a hard textured layer on fabric, creating texture on mixed media projects and more.

The cement comes in a jar of 450 gm. You will find a QR code on the jar, which you can scan, and the link opens to a video on how you can use the cement. Here’s the Tutorial Link in case you want to check it out.

I created a base using cement+water mixture for my project.

Here are the steps which I followed:

1. Mix Water: Cement = 1:2 in a bowl. Make sure there are no lumps.
2. Pour the required mixture into a small paper cup.
3. Let the cement rest for about 24 hours.
4. Then slowly tear out the paper cup, and there you have it – a beautiful cement base.

Due to it’s heavy mass, I altered this cement base to create a paper weight.

I have used loads of other materials from Itsy Bitsy to make this paper weight. You will find the list of all products at the end of this post.

I also have a time-lapse video of the entire project. Just click on this link to see how I have used  other Itsy Bitsy products to create this paper weight.

I hope you guys are excited to try out this new product and make some amazing creations. Don’t forget to share your project in the Itsy Bitsy Crafters cafe group.
