Mixed Media – Forever Love

Hello creatives, DT member Srigowri Rajesh is on the blog today to show a very simple mixed media project for absolute beginners.  I chose to give my project a romantic touch on a heart-shaped MDF base. Join me in making this project, let’s start!

Step 1

Take a heart shaped wooden decorable and apply 3 coats of Little Birdie gesso. After it dries, any stencil of your choice from Little Birdie’s wonderful range to add textures. For the textures I used Little Birdie Grainy Texture Paste, Crackle Paste, Fiber Paste.

Step 2

Stick-colored natural coconut fibers and cheesecloth from Little Birdie. Colour the base with Little Birdie Color Splash. The vibrant color choices will enhance the project. Now start to embellish the project with chipboard elements.

Step 3

Now stick the handmade leaves from Little Birdie.

Step 4

And arrange the Little Birdie handmade flowers according to your desire. These flowers are very elegant and natural-looking and will enhance the look of your project.

Step 5

Stick a flower on the corner of the heart to magnify the project.
